Anchor Engineering, Inc., is seeking an entry-level engineer, ideally with 1-3 years of engineering experience. Architectural or Civil engineering degree with structural emphasis is preferred but other Architectural and Civil emphasis as well as Mechanical Engineering graduates would be considered.

Job Description:

• Responsibilities would include assisting Project Engineers and Project Managers to provide delegated design services on a variety of Specialty Engineering projects, such as glass and aluminum glazing systems, glass guardrails and floors, blast projects, and much more.
• As experience progresses, additional project types and engineering responsibilities would broaden.
• Expectations would include performing basic engineering calculations with the use of company tools and software, but the ideal candidate should be able to perform analysis by hand as needed and will prepare calculation packages for review by Professional Engineers.
• Collaborate with project design teams in the review of details, final design plans, calculations, and specifications in accordance with the applicable Building Code, project requirements, and internal office standards.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and input to technical and/or support personnel.
• Daily interactions with new/existing clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
• $56,000-$73,000 depending on experience

Ideal Candidate:

• 1-3 years of engineering experience, or an internship at an engineering firm with the opportunity to work on delegated design.
• Graduation from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) college or university with a degree in Engineering.
• Professional Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or working toward this achievement.
• Knowledge and experience working with forces and loads, beam design, free body diagrams, basic steel/glass/aluminum mechanical properties, and line-based 3D modeling.
• Experience using various engineering design software programs, Excel, and computer-aided drafting software including AutoCAD.
