Job Description:
- Travels to and from project sites to observe and identify constructed structural elements to ensure general conformance with structural construction documents.
- Takes thorough and accurate notes and job site photographs to adequately and effectively document construction status.
- Learn to observe and identify constructed structural elements to ensure general conformance with structural construction documents.
- Perform site observations with limited supervision, generate site observation reports, and review data before submission to the Project Manager for approval.
- Acquires strong knowledge of standard construction materials and practices.
- Gains general knowledge of engineering terminology and basic engineering concepts.
- Develops the ability to read and interpret construction documents, including architectural and structural plans, details, sections, general notes, and project specifications.
- Achieves proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam for effective communication through written and limited drawn media.
- Applies prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks.
- Responsible for attending training opportunities.
- Exemplifies company vision, mission, and values.
- Advocates for self and coordinates with project staff and management in a timely manner.
- Performs any other duties as deemed appropriate or necessary by the Management Team.
Hourly pay rate is dependent upon years of experience:

- Field Technician I (0-5 years): $17.00 – $24.00 per hour
- Field Technician II (3-8 years): $22.00 – $30.00 per hour
- Field Technician III (5-10 years): $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- This job operates outside, in a field environment at construction sites. While working in the field, personnel may be exposed to extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, cold, and heat. Routinely uses personal protection equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
- Ability to walk around construction sites with uneven and varying terrain.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Ideal Candidate:
- 1-10 years of experience in the construction industry.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
- Fluency in Spanish is desirable but not required.
