Position Summary

Anchor Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineer (P.E.) to join our team in Denver. We are open to hiring at either the Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer level, depending on experience.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects while contributing to both technical design and project execution, with increasing responsibility based on experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and review structural calculations, plans, and specifications
  • Analyze structural systems and evaluate design alternatives
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and internal standards
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, design teams, and external partners
  • Support development of construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Contribute to project coordination, scheduling, and client communication

Role Leveling (Based on Experience)

Project Engineer (4–6 Years | $85K–$95K)

  • Supports project delivery with guidance from senior staff
  • Contributes to design, coordination, and documentation
  • Begins mentoring junior staff and assisting with project management tasks

Senior Project Engineer (7+ Years | $95K–$105K)

  • Independently leads design of projects with minimal oversight
  • Stamps smaller projects and technical reports
  • Directs and mentors design staff
  • Takes a larger role in client communication, scheduling, and coordination
  • Assists with proposals and contributes to business development efforts

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license
    • (Ability to obtain Colorado licensure required)
  • Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design
  • Proficiency in structural analysis/design software
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation

  • Project Engineer: $85,000 – $95,000
  • Senior Project Engineer: $95,000 – $105,000
